🌙 Evenings do something weird to food

Most people eat just fine through the day.

Breakfast sorted.
Lunch sensible.
Snacks… manageable.

Then evening hits.

Not proper hunger.
Not cravings exactly.

Bas woh feeling — kuch toh chahiye.
Day khatam ho raha hai, par dimaag abhi band nahi hua.

🧠 What actually changes at night

By night, food stops being fuel.
It becomes relief.

The day has already taken enough out of you.
Calls. Messages. Decisions. Small annoyances.

Dinner time tak, you don’t want to choose.
You don’t want to calculate.
You don’t want to try.

Isliye night-time eating isn’t intentional.
It’s not chaos.
It’s autopilot — jo saamne hai, wahi chalega.

🍽️ Why “discipline” doesn’t help here

Most food advice assumes
you’ll eat the same way at 9pm as you do at 9am.

Cute idea. Doesn’t happen.

At night:

  • patience is low

  • decision fatigue is high

  • tolerance for effort = zero

Even people who know better slip here.
Not because they don’t care —
because dimaag already thak chuka hota hai.

🧩 The fix (and it’s very fixable)

Night-time eating doesn’t need discipline.
It needs fewer decisions.

That’s it.

Evenings go smoother when food is:

  • already decided (kya khayein? ka scene hi nahi)

  • familiar, not experimental

  • actually filling — not light, not confusing

The moment food asks too many questions,
the system breaks.

People who eat better at night aren’t more motivated.
They just have defaults.

Same foods.
Same comfort.
Kam sochna. Zyada shanti.

🤍 Bombay on Foot

Last weekend, we were at Bombay on Foot.

Early morning. Sea breeze.
Post-walk hunger hit.

No one wanted to think too much — just something easy, familiar, and staisfying.

Defaults, in real life

Restraint was discussed. Briefly 🥣😌🤝

Some nights you don’t want to cook or decide —
bas kuch reliable chahiye.

Something filling, protein-packed,
aur drama-free.
